In 2025, proximity and exchange with other villages and cities has been created through digital networking. The landscape, both as a recreational area and a means to reduce CO2 emissions and stress, became the most vital resource for a healthy life. In addition, since X-Ville has been re-designed to strengthen its community character it offers a high-quality lifestyle for older and younger generations alike. The aim was to establish a diversity of roles and village characteristics in a network of small towns and villages. Digitally augmented services (IoT, automation, artificial intelligence, and others) enhanced the quality of life in her rural area dramatically. Broadband access was installed and with it, smart village connectivity. Internet access improved, which subsequently improved village services and allowed officials to communicate quickly with citizens via smartphone apps. E-mobility options, like bikes, scooters, and autonomous shuttles, were also introduced, connecting residents within the village and enabling them to easily access public transit options and nearby areas.
