Shared Space
A visionary model for shared work“
Architecture
becomes meaningful when it allows work to take place without friction, when
space supports presence, exchange, and pause equally.”
Sonja Berthold, principal and founder
This project explores co-working as a spatial condition rather than a programme. It proposes a place where work unfolds in continuity with landscape, light, and movement, not separated from them.
The building is organised around a generous, open interior landscape. Architecture and nature interlock: planted terraces, open circulation, and layered workspaces dissolve the boundary between inside and outside. The result is neither office nor garden, but a shared ground where work takes place in proximity to light, air, and vegetation.
Workspaces are arranged as variations within a continuous structure. Areas for collaboration, individual focus, and informal encounter coexist without hierarchy. Distance and openness are carefully balanced, allowing users to choose between presence and retreat without prescription.
The architecture is deliberately restrained. Slender structures, transparent envelopes, and a limited material palette allow space and atmosphere to remain primary. Greenery is not applied as decoration, but as an integral spatial element, shaping views, acoustics, and moments of pause.
Shared Space understands co-working not as a lifestyle model, but as an everyday spatial framework, one that supports work quietly, collectively, and in close relationship with its surroundings.
