Shaping Seoul’s Skyline
Fusing Activities, Green Connectivity, Tradition and Innovation“We are strongly interested in how architecture can adapt to the needs of an Asian city that is continuously growing and transforming - a unique urban condition - particularly the dynamic, chaotic, and fast-paced nature of a city, which contrasts with many European cities.”
Dietmar Leyk, principal and cofounder
In the heart of Seoul, we are shaping a new vision for urban living - a 29-storey mixed-use tower that responds to the city's dynamic and ever-evolving landscape. Designed as a vertical extension of the city, the building embraces Seoul's blend of tradition and innovation, with spaces that invite public interaction and green escapes within the dense urban fabric.
Three horizontal openings, or sky gardens, carve out common spaces that provide both gathering spots and lush terraces, enhancing the guest's, employee's and residents' connection to nature. The innovative mast structure pushes the service cores to the perimeter, allowing for expansive, column-free floors that wrap around two grand atriums. The ten-storey atrium fills the art gallery with natural light, while the nineteen-storey atrium illuminates the workspaces and hotel, cascading down to a public plaza below - a sheltered hub that serves as the tower’s vibrant social entrance.
From the green sky lobbies to the flexible office spaces, the design is centred on adaptability and future-proofing, ensuring it can evolve as Seoul continues to grow and transform. The result is an architecture that not only serves its occupants but also contributes to the broader narrative of sustainability and creativity that defines the future of Seoul.
